"My paintings are informed by what is and what has been, around me. The places, people and objects all have a connection to my life and thus make their way into my art. In the studio I'll develop an image, in my mind, over years until I have a vision of what I want. When I paint on location I tend to edit and adjust elements as I see fit, until the image works for me. "
